Event: Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation today announced the PRIMERGY^® NX650 network attached storage (NAS) blade, providing flexible, affordable network-based storage for departmental and enterprise applications. Supporting the consolidation strategies adopted by many businesses today, the PRIMERGY NX650 allows integrated data access from all server blades within a Fujitsu PRIMERGY BX600 S3 chassis, as well as external servers on the same network. Up to two 730GB PRIMERGY NX650 NAS blades can be attached to a single BX620 Intel^® Xeon^® blade server, creating a total storage capacity of 1.5TB per instance.

• Up to five NX650 server/blade assemblies can be supported in a single BX600 chassis, offering up to 3.7TB of network attached storage

• Supports Microsoft^® 2003/2008 Windows^® Unified Data Storage Server (WUDSS)

• Serves as a file or print server and optionally as an iSCSI target for other application servers

• High-performance bandwidth with dual 3Gbit SAS connections

• Each storage blade supports as many as five 2.5-inch 146GB high-performance SAS disk drives. With the dual BX620 server disks, this offers a total of 12 RAID-protected disk drives

• Maximum flexibility and durability with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 protection with integral battery backup unit
